As one of Europe’s largest business schools, The Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) reaches an expansive international audience of future and current leaders through its broad portfolio of programmes, services and academic activities. In keeping with our commitment to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we help students, academics and people in business become critical, creative, caring and collaborative thinkers and doers.
The RSM’s Business & Society Management department is involved in SLIDE, which among others focuses mainly on the interaction between business and society but also on civil society & volunteering. The department has now for over 15 years hosted the “learning by doing” minor, in which service learning plays a central role, by students working directly with (community) organizations on the management issues they face. The university’s dedicated program to strengthening the societal position and contribution of the institution: “impact at the core” sees service learning as an essential element to the impact formula of Erasmus University.
